Just to clarify a little
whoever's face it is showing it is the OTHER person who is talking. Or another way to say it is that whoever is on the screen is reading what the other person is typing to them in their head.
This is just confusing.

It would be a little less confusing if it were that the faces on screen were the ones with the dialogue. Even knowing it's supposed to be the other person talking, I keep automatically thinking it is the person on the screen at the time. I think it might be because you don't see that they're reading anymore than typing, and if the distinction was made it would also work better. Maybe some movement on the computer screen could make it easier to tell what's going on or even having their eyes trailing back and forth as if reading.
Besides the confusion, it's completely awesome.
